My name is Kewana Ross, and I am a native of Canton, Mississippi. I graduated from Jackson State University receiving a Bachelor's in Professional Interdisciplinary Studies (2014) and Master's in Technology Education (2017). I am currently enrolled in the M.A.T. program at Jackson State University.  I serve as the eighth-grade Information Communications Technology  (ICT II) teacher at Huey L. Porter Middle School. I am the mother of two beautiful daughters. I enjoy being of service to others, including our youth, by making strides to help encourage and make a positive impact on everyone around me. Like my own family, my students are my world! My classroom motto is: "If you stay ready, you won't have to get ready!" I believe that our students should be prepared on all levels so that they will be ready to transition into adulthood in hopes to obtain higher education, but simply to be the best they can be. Because children are our future, I will continue to do all that I can to ensure that I make a difference in each of their lives so that they too can become successful, functioning members of society.
