My name is Merrell Hourguettes, I’m from Grenada, MS. I graduated from Grenada High School in 2004 with 2 years of community college at Holmes in Goodman. I’m also a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi with my bachelor’s in nursing. Until 2019, I lived in Hattiesburg, MS with my husband Jack and our two dogs, Moose & Daisy. Before moving, my favorite hobby was playing roller derby! We have one daughter & her name is Hallie. My nursing background is mainly emergency medicine, but I have spent some time in the outpatient clinical setting. I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree through UMMC and plan to teach nursing, or nursing-related professions when I finish. In my spare time, I love to hike and just be outside. I like to read, especially when it’s not school-related.
