Hello!  My name is Bevery Herbert and I teach Kindergarten at Goodloe Elementary. I am excited about the 2015 - 2016 school year with your children.  Kindergarten is the foundation of your child's educational path and thus is extremely important in their educational journey.  I believe we are a team (me and you as parents) and that together we can build a strong foundation for your child.  It is my goal to look back on this year and be excited about our accomplishments.   It is vital that we work together for the best possible Kindergarten year for your child.  We can communicate via email (beverlyherbert@cantonschools.net), telephone, or DoJo.  If you have not signed up for DoJo, please do so at your earliest convenience as I will communicate frequenty using DoJo.

By way of background information, this is my second year to teach Kindergarten at Goodloe Elementary.  I am a graduate of Mississippi College with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  I am from Meridian, Mississippi; however, I have lived in the Hinds/Madison areas since 1978.  I am a graduate of Meridian High Schools as well.  I have one son, Matthew, and he lives in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  

My hobbies are sailing, travelling, and shopping, especially shoe shopping!
