Previously, I taught 5th grade reading at Boyd Elementary. I have done various volunteer work in the classroom. For 2 years I volunteered at Ward Stewart in a 4th grade Special needs classroom. I worked as a tutor for Henderson Elementary for 3 years. I have traveled with different STEM programs across the United States. My mission is to touch the hearts of each of my students, while instilling in them the ability to become a model citizen. I will help students to become active in their education so that they can enjoy learning new ideas and concepts that they can take with them throughout their educational career. Therefore, I will give my students the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful higher education, as well as instilling an eagerness and enthusiasm to know more and to question why. I believe every student deserves the chance to learn.
